Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer

Location: Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Quality Assurance Officer ensures that the company's products and services meet the established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • This role involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and ensuring continuous process improvement to achieve and maintain high-quality outputs.
  • The Quality Assurance Officer plays a key role in identifying defects, conducting audits, and recommending corrective actions.

Responsibilities
Quality Control:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures for products and services.
  • Conduct regular inspections and tests on products at various stages of production to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and document defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities in the production process.
  • Work closely with the production and operations teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Process Improvement:

  • Analyze current quality control processes and recommend improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality assurance and track performance against established standards.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process optimization and cost reduction.

Auditing and Reporting:

  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions taken.
  • Prepare and present reports on quality performance, issues, and trends to management.

Compliance:

  • Ensure that the company complies with all relevant quality standards, regulations, and certifications (e.g., SON, NAFDAC).
  • Stay updated on industry regulations and implement necessary changes in quality control processes.
  • Train and educate staff on quality assurance policies, standards, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry and Food Technology
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in quality assurance or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in using quality control software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
  • Any Professional Certification is an Added Advantage.
