Job Summary

  • The Facility / Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of the company's facilities. This role requires strong organizational skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to manage a team of maintenance workers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all company facilities.
  • Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance work that minimizes disruption.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff.
  • Assign tasks and schedules to ensure efficient operations.
  • Train and develop maintenance staff to improve their skills and performance.
  • Ensure that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and in good working condition.
  • Conduct regular inspections and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Oversee and coordinate repairs to the building, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other systems.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Order supplies as needed and track usage.
  • Monitor maintenance costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc / HND qualification in a relevant field from a reputable institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facility maintenance or related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Technical knowledge of building maintenance systems and equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance systems and equipment.
  • Ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with staff and management.
