Job Title: Business Development Executive

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary 

  • The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving growth and securing key contracts in various service areas. This role is crucial for the expansion of the business and enhancing presence in the oil and gas sector.

Responsibilities

  • Identify potential clients and key decision-makers in the oil and gas sector.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships, and leverage network to creating new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive departmental objectives, track performance through KPIs, and manage strategic alliances to expand business capacity.
  • Represent the company in technical meetings, workshops, trade shows, and seminars to stay abreast of industry developments and trends.
  • Follow up on bids submitted to NAPIMS and other clients, prepare presentations and tenders, and develop feasibility reports to support growth.
  • Acquire major contracts for services including Construction and Fabrication, Marine Services, Manpower Supply, and Procurement from International Oil Companies (IOCs) and other industry players.
  • Strategically facilitate the growth of the business Growth.

Requirements

  • B.Sc / M.Sc / MBA Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a Social Sciences a related field.
  • 4 - 5 years of experience in business development within the oil and gas sector.

Skills:

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite i.e., Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong background in sales, writing proposal, and business development.
  • Effective communicator with attention to detail.
  • Strong Negotiation and Presentation skills.
  • Redefine, build, manage and consistently track the pipeline of prospects/leads for timely conversion.
  • Must be able to apply technical expertise, excellent market, and business management skills necessary for dealing with specific, high-level target audiences.
  • Prepare sales strategies for targeted accounts and compiles information required to prepare bid/tender packages.
  • Document account activities, generate reports and keep track of business transactions as required.
  • Manage the sales process – develop, negotiate, and close out contracts and hand over new jobs to the operations team for execution.
