Job Title: Facilities / Hotel Maintenance Technician

Location: Benin City, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hotel Maintenance Technician with a minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining and repairing hotel facilities.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the hotel's facilities, equipment, and systems are functioning properly to provide guests with a comfortable and safe environment.
  • This role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair work for various systems, including having knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
  • Maintain and manage the hotel's maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to schedule maintenance work and minimize disruption to guests.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the hotel's equipment and machinery to prevent breakdowns.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and order new materials as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to prolong the life of hotel assets.
  • Provide emergency repairs to minimize inconvenience to guests and staff.
  • Ensure all work is completed in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • BSc / HND / B.Eng training in maintenance-related fields is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Certification in maintenance or related fields is a plus.

Experience:

  • Proven track record of performing maintenance tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Experience in a hospitality setting is highly desirable (preferably Hotel).
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 monthly.
