Job Title: Tax Officer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Description

• As a Tax Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with tax regulations and facilitating the smooth execution of tax-related activities within the organization.
• Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing the timely filing of monthly and annual statutory dues, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with various departments to collect essential tax data.
• Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and updating tax records, coordinating with external tax officers and unit Account Managers, and preparing regular reports on the organization's tax-related position.

Job Responsibilities

• To follow up with monthly and annual filing of all statutory dues (PAYE, VAT, PENSION, CIT, EDT, PTF & WHT) in respect of all units and ensure documentation of all relevant support and proof all tax remittances.
• Daily downloading of "WHT credit note" from FIRS serve for all units.
• Maintaining up to date base on Tax related Payments (staff PAYE, Pension and development Levy, WHT) and collating information for tax returns filing.
• Interfacing with accounts officers and collecting tax data to update tax records.
• Managing both Audited Accounts and Tax Related Files.
• Any other assignment by the Superior Officer.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess B.Sc / HND, in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Candidate must have experience with the use of Tax promax.
• Candidates must have experience working with LIRS & FIRS

Salary
N100,000 - N200,000 / month.
