Job Title: Facility Officer
Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time
Key Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance and Operations:
- Manage and supervise maintenance activities, ensuring all equipment and systems are functioning optimally (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, lighting).
- Coordinate routine repairs and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor and manage service contracts (cleaning, security, waste disposal, etc.).
Vendor and Contractor Management:
- Liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely service delivery.
- Monitor contract compliance and manage vendor relationships.
- Handle procurement of supplies and materials needed for facility operations.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and policies.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Manage emergency preparedness plans, including fire drills and safety protocols.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Monitor and control facility-related expenses within the approved budget.
- Track inventory and manage stock levels of essential supplies.
Communication and reporting:
- Prepare regular reports on facility operations, incidents, and maintenance activities.
- Respond promptly to inquiries or complaints from staff, tenants, or clients.
- Coordinate facility-related activities during events or special projects.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree / HND in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in facility management or related roles.
- Knowledge of building systems, safety regulations, and maintenance processes.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facility management software is an advantage.
