Job Description
- The incumbent will carry out field repairs of Cummins engines on and off site, comply with Company and Government legislation regarding H & S JSA (use of PPE, es/i and conduct maintenance of Cummins engines as well as troubleshoot and diagnose faults.
- Responsibilities include repairing engines within Cummins spec and Cummins SRTs, completing service reports accurately and timeously, meeting all warranty claims submission documentation requirements and providing service ensuring quality workmanship at all times as well as completing repairs within Cummins stipulated timings.
- Based on the outcome of troubleshooting, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating a quotation and appropriate parts requisitions.
- Furthermore, he/she will ensure new product training is carried out versus engine population and company supplied tooling is maintained to the appropriate standards, establish/maintain good customer relations, ensure prompt and efficient attention to customer needs as well as maintain work area, service vehicles cleanliness accurate service vehicle travel logs and safety checks.
- He/she will be required to work overtime and be available after hours for call outs.
