Job Title: Shift Miller (Maize Milling)

Location: Ilaro, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The shift Miller will be Responsible for the smooth running of the mill during a shift and organizing and coordinating the activities of shift workers (intake, screening, milling, and packing).
  • The role requires expertise in Maize milling operations to ensure the best possible extraction and required quality of the finished products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Checks and ensure that all process settings are correct and maintained.
  • Cross–check and ensure that all automatic tipping weighing scales are functioning correctly.
  • Check and ensure that the finished product's desired yields and quantities are met
  • Periodic technical product checking to ensure de-germination is complete, no grits in offal and flour and ensuring final product for Laboratory sampling is free of extraneous matters.
  • Cross-checking and ensuring that the standard weights of finished products are maintained.

Qualifications

  • OND in Food Technology, Mechanical Engineering or any Applied Science degree.
  • 5 years experience in Flour/Maize milling.
  • Must have exceptional communication and critical-thinking skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and will be required to do precise data analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good leadership & Management skills
  • Food safety expertise.
  • Understanding of industry best practices.
