Job Title: Kitchen Assistant

Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities
Food Preparation:

• Chopping, peeling, and washing vegetables, measuring ingredients, and sometimes assisting in the preparation of simple dishes.

Cleaning and Sanitizing:

• Keeping the kitchen area, utensils, and equipment clean, ensuring surfaces are sanitized, and following food safety guidelines.

Stock Management:

• Assisting with inventory, including checking supplies, restocking items, and organizing storage areas.

Dishwashing:

• Washing dishes, pots, and other kitchen equipment, either manually or using a dishwasher.

Assisting Chefs:

• Supporting the chefs and cooks with whatever tasks they need, such as fetching ingredients or handling minor prep tasks.

Waste Management:

• Disposing of kitchen waste, recycling, and ensuring waste areas are tidy.

Following Health and Safety Guidelines:

• Adhering to health and safety regulations, such as wearing protective gear and maintaining clean workspaces.

Setting Up and Closing Down:

• Assisting with setting up workstations before service and helping to close down the kitchen after service hours.
