Job Title: HSE Manager

Location: Sapele, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 

  • The HSE Manager is responsible for developing and enforcing health, safety, and environmental protocols across Torupere Nigeria Limited. This role is crucial for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and contractors, minimizing environmental impact, and complying with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards in compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and environmental impact analyses to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees and contractors on topics such as hazard identification, risk assessment, emergency response, and environmental protection.
  • Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate with the Operations Director and other department heads to ensure that HSE standards are integrated into all operational activities and project sites.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety metrics, incidents, and training activities, and report on HSE performance to executive management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Occupational Health, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in HSE roles within the oil and gas industry, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective HSE programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards.
  • Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is required.
  • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
