Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and courteously as they enter the restaurant.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Respond to questions about the menu, including dietary options and special requests.
Order Taking and Processing:
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests.
- Communicate orders to the kitchen staff effectively and clearly.
- Suggest daily specials, drinks, and upsell additional items as appropriate.
Serving Food and Beverages:
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner.
- Ensure that each guest receives the correct order and check back to address any issues.
- Monitor tables to ensure guests have what they need, refilling drinks and clearing dishes as needed.
Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:
- Keep tables and dining areas clean, clearing and resetting tables for new guests.
- Ensure all service stations are stocked and organized.
- Follow health and safety standards, including cleanliness protocols.
Billing and Payment:
- Prepare accurate bills and present them to guests.
- Process payments (cash, credit, etc.) and handle cash registers if required.
- Thank guests and invite them to return for future visits.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members.
- Assist in training new staff as needed.
- Communicate any guest complaints or concerns to management promptly.
