Associates Consulting Limited - Our Client is a fast growing indigenous upstream, mid-stream and downstream oil and gas group with interests in oil and gas exploration and production, gas processing, petrochemical/fertilizer production and power.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Civil Foreman

Location: Imo
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Civil Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily supervision of site activities and keeping daily records.
  • Ensures that the project is carried out according to specifications and within the given time schedule.
  • Monitor performance of site workers and keeping accurate records of the same.
  • Ensure that safety standards are respected both for personnel and for plant and machinery.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of plant and machinery by reducing down time.
  • Report daily performance of plant and machinery.
  • Collaborate with project team members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Serve as the point of contact between the project team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinating the work performed by other construction workers on a project site including skilled laborers and unskilled labourers.
  • Scheduling work crews to ensure that projects are completed on time.
  • Coordinating with architects or engineers to ensure that construction plans meet building codes and standards.
  • Reviewing blueprints and other construction plans to determine feasibility of design ideas.
  • Ability to drive projects to fruition on time and within budget.
  • Ability to hire, train, and supervise workers.
  • Expertise in sourcing and supervising construction materials, such as tools and equipment.
  • Carry out any other responsibilities as may be assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • Years of experience in civil works in the Oil and gas industry.
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Good public speaking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
