Job Title: Restaurant Production Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are looking to bring onboard a Production Officer who will be responsible for overseeing the food preparation and production processes to ensure high-quality meals are served efficiently.
  • Some of your key responsibilities include managing kitchen operations, controlling inventory, supervising employees, ensuring food quality, and optimising workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and assist with food preparation to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Create and manage daily production schedules based on customer demand and inventory levels.
  • Develop and maintain staff schedules and rosters to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Monitor stock levels and order supplies to minimise waste.
  • Ensure all food meets health and safety standards.
  • Lead kitchen staff, providing training and support
  • Participate in recruiting production staff like the cooks and assistants.
  • Assist in preparing menu items according to recipes
  • Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure it’s functioning properly.
  • Follow food safety regulations and conduct inspections.
  • Quickly address any production issues and proffer timely solutions.
  • Work with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Ensure meals passed are well presented.
  • Training the front of house staff of proper food handling of products on display including regulation of the bain marie temperature.
  • Ensure SOPs are reviewed as required and are being enforced.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or any related field.
  • Relevant professional qualifications are an added advantage
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in a restaurant
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of basic software, such as Word and Excel.

Salary
N150,000 / month.
