Job Description

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to oversee all financial operations.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Maintain general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
• Reconcile bank accounts and other financial accounts.
• Analyze and track the resort's costs and expenses to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
• Prepare and analyze cost reports to inform decision-making.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
• Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and property tax.
• Stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations.
• Process payroll for all employees, including taxes, deductions, and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.
• Review and analyze financial records to identify and correct errors.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• ICAN certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
