Job Title: Account Executive

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Finance Head

Job Summary

• We are looking for a detail-oriented Account Executive to join our finance team in Ikeja, Nigeria.
• Reporting to the Finance Head, the Account Executive will play a key role in managing financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the company's financial goals.
• This role is ideal for a Nigerian national with a minimum of two years of experience in accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate posting of transactions and balancing of accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and monitoring collections.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and company records.
• Prepare and submit tax filings in compliance with Nigerian tax regulations.
• Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Monitor company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgets and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in Nigeria.
• ICAN/ACCA certification (or in progress) is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, Tally or similar platforms, as well as MS Excel.
• Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial regulations, and statutory requirements.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
