Job Summary

  • We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Management Intern to assist our project management team.
  • This role provides hands-on experience in construction project management, where you will learn the essential aspects of planning, coordinating, and supervising construction projects.
  • The ideal candidate has a keen interest in construction, excellent organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities
Project Support:

  • Assist the project management team in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Help track project progress, timelines, and resource allocation.

Site Coordination:

  • Participate in on-site inspections to monitor project quality, progress, and safety.
  • Support daily construction operations and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Report any on-site issues to the project manager and help in resolving them.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Assist in maintaining project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Prepare updates for stakeholders and help keep accurate records for project meetings.

Quality Control and Safety Compliance:

  • Help monitor quality control measures to ensure construction standards are met.
  • Learn and follow safety regulations and protocols on-site.
  • Support efforts to ensure all work complies with industry standards and company policies.

Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Assist in coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Support communication between clients, team members, and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in construction project management and eagerness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of construction processes and project management concepts.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with project management software or tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore) is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of safety regulations in construction.

Salary
N120,000 / month.
