Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Garki, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with 1-3 years of experience to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring financial efficiency throughout the construction process.
  • You will work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to deliver accurate cost projections and support project budgets, from planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities based on architectural and engineering designs.
  • Monitor and manage project costs to ensure budgets are adhered to.
  • Conduct cost analysis and assessments to forecast project financial requirements.
  • Evaluate tenders, prepare contract documents, and assist in procurement processes.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress, verify quantities, and prepare valuations.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Prepare and submit final accounts and reports for completed projects.
  • Stay updated on industry cost trends, materials, and construction methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, ideally within Nigeria.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, MS Excel) and understanding of construction estimating software.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian building codes, construction standards, and procurement practices.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
