Nnamdi Azikiwe University was established from Anambra State University of Technology (ASUTECH) by Law No. 7 on July 30, 1980. It was nationalized by Decree No. 34 of July 1992 (now CAP. N 139, LFN, 2004), with financial effect from September 1, 1992.

Job Title: Director, Information and Public Relations

Location: Awka, Anambra

Duties

• The Director, Information and Public Relations shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day- to-day administration of the Directorate of Information and Public Relations.
• By virtue of the office, he/she should be able to provide appropriate leadership and advice on the institution's problems in the area relating to building positive relationships with stakeholders, media and the public.
• He/She shall hold office for a single term of five (5) and non-renewable.

Qualification and Experience

• The candidate for the post must possess a Degree preferably in Arts, Journalism, Social Science or English Language from a recognized institution and evidence of NYSC plus at least fifteen (15) years cognate experience with ICT proficiency.
• Membership of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations would be an added advantage.
• He/She must not be above sixty (60) years of age before the date of appointment.
