About the Role

  • The Sponsorship & Partnerships Manager will play a critical role in identifying, developing, and managing relationships with corporate sponsors, industry partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Your efforts will directly support our training programs and expansion efforts, ensuring we secure the necessary funding, partnerships, and collaborations.
  • This role requires strategic thinking, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to acquiring sponsorships and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sponsorship strategies to secure local and international funding for our programs.
  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships with corporates, government bodies, and regulatory agencies.
  • Acquire sponsorships for training programs and bootcamps to support student learning and development.
  • Seek Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing (VAPT) contracts from banks, financial institutions, and corporates.
  • Build and maintain relationships with companies for cybersecurity training, web/software development, and IT service contracts.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling partnership proposals and presentations.
  • Negotiate agreements that align with RITA Africa’s strategic goals and mission.
  • Monitor and report on partnership performance, ensuring alignment with agreed objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to align sponsorship and partnership efforts with business goals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sponsorship acquisition, ideally in education, tech, or non-profit sectors.
  • Proven track record of securing high-value sponsorships and establishing long-term partnerships.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to connect with C-level executives.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and managing business agreements.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to craft compelling proposals and presentations.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple partnerships simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-driven with a passion for making an impact in tech education.
  • Familiarity with the African tech and business landscape is a plus.
