Borno Women Development Initiative (BOWDI) is a women-led, registered Non-Governmental, Non-Profit Organization with its head office located in Borno State, Nigeria. BOWDI has been active in Humanitarian and Development activities in the Northeast, especially in education, peace-building, advocacy, food security, livelihood, and protection.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Volunteer

Locations: MMC & Jere LGA, Borno

About the role
Under the support of project officers, the project volunteers will:

• Volunteers will support Project activities which include: supporting sensitization, community mobilization, etc. 
• The Volunteer will support in ensuring smooth runnning of projects. 

Eligibility

• Minimum of Bachelor's deegree in any social science course, humanities, or similar. 
• must have a passing knowledge of NGO activiteis especially protection-related
• Must be a team player
• Very good writing skills. Proficiency in English and Hausa language.
• Ability to relate to affected individuals and populations in a humble manner, listen and act on issues maintaining discretion.
• Ability to communicate effectively, present oneself professionally with internal & external stakeholders, write well and express technical issues in a sensitive manner.
