Job Title: Facility Officer

Job Summary

• We are seeking an organized and proactive Facility Officer to join our team at our new hospital in Port Harcourt.
• The Facility Officer will oversee the maintenance and management of hospital facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain hospital buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Coordinate repairs, renovations, and upgrades as needed.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers for maintenance and repair work.
• Ensure timely delivery of services and adherence to quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Monitor and maintain an inventory of facility supplies and equipment.
• Order and replenish supplies as necessary to prevent disruptions in operations.
• Monitor the usage of utilities such as electricity, water, and gas, implementing energy-saving measures.
• Ensure the uninterrupted functioning of critical systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and expenses.
• Prepare periodic reports on facility operations and improvements.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure facility-related needs are met.
• Respond promptly to facility-related inquiries or complaints.

Qualifications
Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility management, preferably in the healthcare sector.

Skills:

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of building systems and maintenance processes.
• Proficiency in using facility management software and tools.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with health and safety standards and regulations.
