Job Summary

• The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and machinery in our Maize Milling operations.
• This role requires expertise in maize/flour milling processes to guarantee the efficient and reliable operation of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment in the Maize mill.
• Ensure machines operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment lifespan.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimize milling processes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
• Provide technical support and training to mill operators and maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering within the milling industry, preferably in maize/flour milling.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and machines used in maize mills.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skill
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using maintenance management software and tools.
