Job Title: Instrumentation Engineer

Job Overview

  • The Instrumentation Engineer - Electrical will oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment in a continuous process manufacturing environment.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, experience in electrical engineering, and a proactive mindset to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise:

  • Manage and troubleshoot continuous process equipment, drives (VFD), PLCs, and heavy machinery.
  • Conduct maintenance on switchgear, understand drawings (SLD, control panels), and handle panel cabling and terminations.
  • Gain proficiency in PLC programming and creating logic for automation processes.

Process Monitoring:

  • Maintain detailed records of downtime and conduct TAT analysis to resolve issues.
  • Monitor Plan vs. Actual compliance and ensure the successful execution of plans.

Inventory and ERP Management:

  • Utilize ERP/ORION for data entry, material requisition, purchase requests, and stock verification.

Reporting:

  • Prepare daily shift reports and maintain records for spare reorder levels using Microsoft Excel.
  • Maintain a comprehensive record-keeping system for departmental operations.

Instrument Knowledge:

  • Calibrate and maintain weighing equipment and analyzers.
  • Work with instruments such as temperature controllers, RTDs, thermocouples, flow meters, pressure transmitters, solenoid valves, and interlocks.

Job Requirements
Education:

  • Bachelor's/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum: 4 years
  • Preferred: 7 years
  • Relevant Experience in Tiles/Steel/Cement/Hardcore Manufacturing Industries: Minimum 3 years, Preferred 6 years
