Job Description

• A Luxury Cafe known as a premier destination for fine dining and exceptional pastries in Abuja, seeks an experienced Pastry Chef to join our culinary team, delivering exquisite desserts and baked goods that exceed our customers' expectations.

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to lead our pastry kitchen. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing innovative dessert menus, managing pastry production, and maintaining exceptional quality and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities
Pastry Production:

• Prepare and bake high-quality pastries, cakes, desserts, and bread.
• Develop new recipes and menus to stay ahead of trends.
• Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.

Kitchen Management:

• Supervise and train pastry team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
• Manage inventory and ordering of pastry supplies.

Quality Control:

• Conduct regular taste tests to ensure quality.
• Monitor and maintain high standards of presentation.
• Address customer feedback and concerns.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with Executive Chef and kitchen staff.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house team.
• Participate in menu planning and development.

Requirements

• Diploma / Certificate in Pastry Arts or related field.
• 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a luxury hotel, restaurant, or cafe.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Certification from a reputable pastry organization.
• Familiarity with Nigerian and international cuisines.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 / month.
