We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Inventory Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:

• Monitor and maintain current inventory levels; track orders, deliveries, shortages, and backorders.
• Perform physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies with digital records.
• Ensure timely restocking of products to avoid stockouts.

Stock Control:

• Maintain accurate inventory records in inventory management systems.
• Manage stock movements, including transfers, shipments, and receipts.
• Ensure proper labeling and storage of inventory items.

Supply Chain Coordination:

• Liaise with procurement and logistics teams to ensure smooth flow of goods and materials.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.

Reporting:

• Prepare detailed inventory reports, including stock levels, trends, and projections.
• Analyze stock usage and create forecasts for reordering.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and inventory control procedures.
• Oversee proper handling and storage of materials, ensuring that safety standards are maintained.

System Maintenance:

• Manage inventory software and tools to track and optimize inventory flow.
• Troubleshoot issues within the inventory system and recommend improvements.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of inventory management software (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
• Ability to work with data, analyze trends, and forecast inventory needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with different departments.
• Knowledge of supply chain procedures and warehouse operations.
