We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chinese Translator (HSK5 Proficiency)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Document Translation:

• Translate written materials, including business documents, contracts, marketing materials, and technical manuals, from Chinese to Englishand vice versa.

Interpretation Services:

• Provide real-time or on-demand verbal interpretation during meetings, conferences, and phone calls.

Content Localization:

• Adapt content to ensure cultural and linguistic appropriateness for the target audience.

Editing and Proofreading:

• Review and revise translated content to ensure accuracy and coherence.

Research and Collaboration:

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to understand specialized terminology.
• Conduct research to verify terms and ensure proper context in translations.

Confidentiality:

• Handle sensitive information with utmost discretion and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Chinese Language Studies, or a related field (preferred).
• Fluency in both written and spoken Chinese and [your preferred language].
• Proven experience as a translator or interpreter, preferably in a professional setting.
• Proficiency with translation tools and software (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, or others).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Minimum of HSK 5 proficiency

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 / month.
