Job Title: Cataract Surgeon

Location: Lagos

Requirements

• Minimum Experience - 3 Years
• Qualification - Consultant Ophthalmologist
• Requirement - Registered with MDCN

Clinical Skill:

• The candidate must be well versed in basic and advanced examination techniques of the eye, including slit lamp, gonioscopy, fundus examination (with +90D/+78D/+20D/+28D lenses), indirect ophthalmoscopy, applanation tonometry, non-contact tonometry.
• An expert in ophthalmic investigative procedures including OCT, Ultrasound B scan, Perimetry, Pachymetry and fundus photography.

Surgical Skill:

• The preferred candidate should have done a reasonable number of the following procedures:
• Proficiency in the performance of cataract extraction using the Phacoemulsification technique with the use of a wide range of posterior chamber intraocular lenses including foldable and rigid ones.
• The ability to perform using topical anaesthesia will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in performing Small Incision Cataract surgery.
• Trabeculectomy for Glaucoma.
• Pterygial Excision with Conjunctival Autograft.
• Intravitreal Injections (Anti-VEGFs, Steroids and Antibiotics).
• The ability to perform other minor and intermediate anterior segment procedures will be an added advantage.
