Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group operating in the oil and gas industry. The company was incorporated in 1998, starting as a staffing agency based in Port Harcourt. Currently we have offices in 4 countries with our head office in Lagos.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: MWD Engineer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting MWD tools, ensuring that they are functioning properly throughout the drilling operation.
• Operate and maintain tools that measure various parameters, such as wellbore trajectory, downhole pressure, temperature, and mud characteristics.
• If an MWD tool malfunctions, the engineer must identify and fix the issue quickly to avoid downtime.
• May be involved in discussing and interpreting data with clients, especially in more complex or high stakes drilling environments.

Requirements

• Minimum HND / BSc in Engineering, Science, Geology or other technical discipline, or equivalent drilling rig experience
• Requires ability to read and interpret information well logs and interpret directional survey information and other well-site data.
• Be able to lead MWD surveying jobs and entry level MWD logging jobs.
