Job Summary

• Our client is seeking an experienced Agricultural Insurance Professional to drive the growth and management of its agricultural insurance portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of agriculture, risk management, and insurance products tailored to the farming and agribusiness sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Development: Design and implement innovative insurance products and coverage plans tailored to the agricultural sector.
• Risk Assessment: Analyze agricultural risks, including weather, crop yield, livestock, and natural disasters, to create robust risk mitigation strategies.
• Policy Underwriting: Evaluate and underwrite agricultural insurance policies, ensuring profitability and adherence to company standards.
• Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, agribusinesses, and industry stakeholders to understand their insurance needs.
• Market Research: Stay updated on agricultural trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes to inform product development and risk assessment.
• Claims Management: Oversee the claims process, ensuring timely and fair settlements while maintaining strong client relationships.
• Training & Support: Educate clients and partners on agricultural insurance products and provide ongoing support to distribution channels.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including actuaries, sales, and marketing, to develop strategies that align with company goals.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in insurance (e.g., ACII, ANZIIF) or risk management are an advantage.
• At least 4 years of experience in agricultural insurance, agribusiness, or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, risks, and insurance products.
• Proven track record in product development and client management within the agricultural insurance space.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools and risk modeling techniques.
