Job Title: Chief Technology Officer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Reports: Software Project Manager, Transformation team, Product team, Sales team
Line Supervisor: Management

Job Summary

• The CTO is responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership across all aspects of technology development and implementation.
• You will oversee the software development process, from project initiation to delivery, ensuring adherence to best practices, quality standards, and timelines.
• Additionally, you will lead the recruitment, training, and development of technical talent, foster a culture of innovation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Scope and Impact:

• As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the incumbent will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological direction of the company, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of software solutions.
• They will lead a team of software developers and engineers, oversee projects, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver highquality software products that meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
• Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
• Help departments use technology profitably
• Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
• Build quality assurance and data protection processes
• Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
• Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role
• Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
• Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
• Excellent communication skills
• Leadership and organizational abilities
• Strategic thinking
• Problem-solving aptitude
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus.
