We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant (Assistant)

Location: Jabi, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, reports, and statements.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Support in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Perform data entry tasks, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Assist in budget preparation and cost tracking.
  • Handle filing, archiving, and retrieving financial documents as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve any accounting-related inquiries.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related recordkeeping.
  • Provide support during audits and assist in implementing necessary changes based on audit findings.
  • Perform other accounting-related tasks and administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance-related role is a plus but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
