We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Hilux Driver

Location: Ore Road, Ondo
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Transportation of Staff:

  • Safely and promptly drive staff to various locations such as the office, meetings, conferences, job sites, or events.
  • Ensure that staff are picked up and dropped off according to the designated schedule, taking the most efficient routes.
  • Provide door-to-door service when necessary, including transporting staff during off-hours or on weekends as requested.

Vehicle Maintenance and Care:

  • Regularly inspect the vehicle for mechanical issues, cleanliness, and safety features.
  • Keep the vehicle in good working condition by performing routine maintenance, such as oil changes, tire checks, and cleanliness.
  • Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to the supervisor or fleet manager.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Follow all road safety regulations and traffic laws to ensure the safety of passengers and other road users.
  • Ensure all passengers are safely seated and follow appropriate safety procedures (e.g., wearing seat belts).
  • Adhere to company safety policies, including maintaining a clean driving record and ensuring proper vehicle documentation.

Customer Service:

  • Provide courteous and professional service to staff members, ensuring they feel comfortable and well-cared-for during travel.
  • Handle staff queries, requests, or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain a positive, approachable attitude to contribute to a pleasant travel experience for employees.

Timely and Efficient Travel:

  • Plan routes and schedules to ensure that staff members reach their destinations on time.
  • Be adaptable to changes in the schedule or last-minute requests for transportation.
  • Ensure minimal delays or disruptions during transportation, including handling any road or traffic challenges efficiently.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur.
  • Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or issues with staff transportation to the supervisor.
  • Keep track of any necessary travel logs or documentation for vehicle usage.

Confidentiality and Discretion:

  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of staff members during transportation.
  • Maintain discretion and professionalism when transporting employees to and from sensitive or confidential meetings or events.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Class D driver's license.
  • Be willing to relocate to Ondo, as accommodation will be provided although candidates based in Ondo will be given priority.
  • Candidates should possess  minimum of an SSCE with 3 years experience
