We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Contract

Job Overview

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day accounting, bank reconciliation, fixed asset register and administrative services to meet organizational and statutory requirements.
  • Ensures financial accuracy, andcompliance with accounting standards, and provides critical insights into inventory-related financial metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
  • Monthly retirements
  • Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
  • Monitor company budgets and expenditures.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Liaise with vendors, clients, and other departments regarding financial matters.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as an Account Officer, Accountant, or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
