Director of Procurement at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH)

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, owned by the Oyo State Government, was established on April 23, 1990. The University presently operates two campuses with the main campus in Ogbomoso, and the satellite campus with the College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources is based in Iseyin, Oyo State.

The University presently has the following Faculties: Arts and Social Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Renewable Natural Resources (both faculties operating under the College of Agricultural Sciences and Renewable Natural Resources, Iseyin campus), Management Sciences, Pure and Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Food and Consumer Sciences, Computing and Informatics, Environmental Sciences; College of Health Sciences with the following Faculties: Clinical Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Basic Clinical Sciences and Nursing Science.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Director of Procurement

Location: Ogbomoso, Oyo

Job Description

• The Director of Procurement is the Head of the Procurement Unit, responsible to the Vice Chancellor who is the Chief Accounting Officer for the handling of all Procurement matters in the University and the day-to-day activities of the Procurement Unit.

Qualifications

• The candidate must possess a good Bachelor's Degree (not below second class, lower division) in any of the following: Purchasing and Supply, Management, Accounting, Economics or Marketing.
• He/she must be a registered member of ICAN, ANAN, or any other relevant regulatory bodies with NYSC discharge certificate or evidence of exemption from NYSC, with minimum of fifteen (15) years post-qualifications experience five (5) of which must be as Deputy Director of Audit or Deputy Director of Procurement or equivalent post in a university system.
• Possession of a Higher Degree in relevant field will be an added advantage.iv. Candidates must be Computer literate with knowledge in rel evant Computer packages.

Salary Grade
CONTISS 15

Condition of Service
The successful candidates shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years only on such terms and conditions applicable to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State and as may be determined by the appropriate University Rules and the University Governing Council.
