Job Title: AC Technician

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

  • The AC Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and always keeping the Hotel’s air conditioning and refrigeration equipment in good condition.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install AC units, including electronic and mechanical components.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and provide technical attention to all electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems of the hotel which includes freezers, fridges, ice makers, chillers, etc.
  • Installation of AC ductwork including flexible tubing and sheet metal construction
  • Verify all door closing systems on all coolers/freezers (door gaskets/latches) to ensure optimum freezing.
  • Perform and attend to maintenance requests from all departments.
  • To service and repair refrigeration and extractor units.
  • To perform routine cleaning of fan coil units and air-handling unit filters
  • Completes air conditioning work as per maintenance repair order.
  • To record all daily activities in the logbook provided by the Maintenance Manager.
  • To ensure that KPIs are met completely and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and legislative requirements (HSE). An HSE booklet will be given to you.
  • Attend to any other duties as may be assigned by management.

Health & Safety:

  • Ensure compliance of the Hotel’s standards regarding proper equipment usage, health and safety and accident prevention policy of the Hotel.
  • Attends periodic meetings with Maintenance Manager and department heads, conducts and/or participates in safety meetings at designated intervals with hotel staff.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety policies of the company with regards to PPEs.
  • To clean and maintain all equipment and work areas after completion of work to prevent accidents.

Inventory:

  • Proper management of stock of supplies and equipment.
  • Document all parts used and parts needed to be purchased.

Reports and Meetings:

  • Submits daily, weekly, (every Friday) and monthly.
  • Participates in weekly departmental meetings.

Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years experience.
