Taimako Community Development Initiative (TCDI) is one of the frontline National Non-governmental organizations working in Bauchi, Borno and Yobe States with over a decade experience in providing humanitarian and development services in the North East Nigeria. It has partnered with numerous government agencies, National and International NGOs as well as UN Agencies in the design, planning, implementation, and supervision of programmes and activities aimed at improving the lives of rural and urban communities.

The organization has footprints across the focal states and has been engaging with communities through its network of field workers and volunteers. TCDI was established in 2008 and registered with the Federal Government of Nigeria under the Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C.), Abuja on 23rd May 2014 with registration number IT/69569 and other regulatory bodies in the focal states.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Community Mobilization Assistant (CMA)

Locations: Machina and Nguru, Yobe

Job Description

  • Provides support in the implementation, organization, follow-up, and reporting of community mobilization activities of the TCDI’sprogram in close collaboration with the TCDI’s team and partners
  • To act as the first point of contact for any safeguarding, child, and adult Nutrition concerns, providing timely, relevant support and advice
  • To act as the first point of contact for any safeguarding, child, and adult Nutrition concerns, providing timely, relevant support and advice
  • The Community Mobilization Assistant implements and supervises the activities in the communities to strengthen coverage of nutrition awareness through BSFP, GFD/CBT, and any other activities
  • Undertake Community Mobilization Activities in collaboration with the team.
  • To act as the first point of contact for any safeguarding, child, and adult Nutrition concerns, providing timely, relevant support and advice
  • Support the health facilities with Nutrition Awarenesstraining
  • To participate actively in BSFP, CBT/GFD, and other related activities in the community
  • To act as the first point of contact for any safeguarding, child, and adult Nutrition concerns, providing timely, relevant support and advice
  • Partake on any other activity that may be required by TCDI or its partner.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an OND qualification with 2+ years relevant work experience.
