Job Overview

  • We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tipper Driver with 2 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting materials, such as sand, gravel, or construction debris, to and from job sites.
  • This role requires an experienced driver who is knowledgeable about the safe operation of tipper trucks and can ensure timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and drive a tipper truck safely and efficiently for transportation of various materials.
  • Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure the safety of yourself, others, and the equipment.
  • Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to ensure proper functioning (oil, tire pressure, and other key components).
  • Ensure that the correct materials are loaded and unloaded as per job specifications.
  • Manage route planning and ensure timely delivery to job sites.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records, including materials delivered and location details.
  • Communicate effectively with site managers and other team members.
  • Assist with loading and unloading as required.
  • Report any mechanical issues or accidents to the supervisor or maintenance team.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and local regulations.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess an HNDb/ OND or SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification
  • 2 years of driving experience with a tipper truck.
  • Valid Class 2/3/4 (or relevant) driving license.
  • Proven ability to operate heavy vehicles safely in diverse weather conditions and on various terrains.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic regulations and safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Good physical health and ability to handle manual tasks.
  • Previous experience in the construction or logistics sector is preferred.
