Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Ajah, Lagos

Description 

  • We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team, focusing on the maintenance and optimization of pneumatic systems, vehicles, and advanced electrical motors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be able to troubleshoot, repair, and enhance our woodwork equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
Pneumatic Systems Maintenance:

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of pneumatic systems to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues within pneumatic circuits and components.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement improvements in pneumatic systems

Vehicle Maintenance:

  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of various vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on mechanical and electrical components of vehicles.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for fleet vehicles

Advanced Electrical Motors:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot advanced electrical motors, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Assist in the design and integration of electric motor systems into existing machinery.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in electrical motor technology and recommend upgrades as necessary

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Prepare reports on the performance of pneumatic systems, vehicles, and electrical motors.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to provide input on design and operational efficiency

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Participate in safety training and promote a culture of safety within the team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in maintaining pneumatic systems and vehicles.
  • Familiarity with advanced electrical motor systems and controls.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and engineering design tools is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings

Work Environment:

  • The role may involve working in both office and field environments, requiring flexibility and adaptability
