Job Title: Air Compressor Mechanic

Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Air Compressor Mechanic to oversee the maintenance, repair, and routine inspection of air compressors used in underground mining operations.
• The ideal candidate will ensure the optimal functioning of equipment by conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and performing preventive maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of air compressors to identify potential issues.
• Check and monitor pressure, temperature, and oil levels to ensure normal operation.
• Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical issues such as noise, insufficient pressure, or system inefficiencies
• Handle basic electrical troubleshooting, including identifying and resolving circuit faults.
• Perform adjustments, replacements, and installations as needed to restore proper function.
• Replace oil and clean filters to ensure the longevity and efficiency of air compressors.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks to keep equipment in optimal condition.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment around air compressor systems.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess minimum of an SSCE qualification with 2 - 5 years proven experience in the maintenance and repair of air compressors
• Ability to dismantle and install air compressor systems effectively.
• Knowledge of mechanical and basic electrical repair, including troubleshooting and resolving circuit issues.
• Proficiency in using tools such as gauges, wrenches, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.

Remuneration
Salary is negotiable and we offer competive bonus based on performance in addition to the basic salary.
