We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Manager - Energy Meter Deployment

Location: Lagos, Nigeria (with potential travel to various distribution company locations)

Position Overview

• We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the installation of 1.2 million energy meters across nine distribution companies in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, technical, and leadership skills, as well as a thorough understanding of energy meter deployment processes.
• The role involves end-to-end project coordination, from meter arrival at distribution company warehouses to installation at the end-user level. The successful candidate will drive efficiency, ensure timely delivery, and maintain high-quality standards across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for meter deployment across multiple regions.
• Monitor project milestones and adjust plans to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, inventory logs, and deployment reports using tools such as Microsoft Excel.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and resolutions.
• Coordinate with distribution companies, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless meter deployment.
• Address customer concerns and ensure high levels of satisfaction during the installation process.
• Supervise the movement and storage of energy meters from warehouses to installation sites.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the deployment process.
• Manage deployment teams across various locations, ensuring effective personnel utilization and adherence to schedules.
• Provide clear direction and support to team members to achieve project goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Electronic Engineering
• Strong proficiency in document control and project tracking.
• Basic understanding of energy meter deployment processes, including logistics and end-user installation.
• Excellent time management and personnel management skills.
• COREN-certified engineer (desirable but not mandatory).
• Familiarity with the working operations of energy meters.
• Understanding of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) systems.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Adaptability to changing project dynamics.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to challenges.
