We are also engaged as Labor supply and Procurement Specialists both locally and internationally and provide other business support services. Our operations also cover haulage of granite and sand across the sea to various destinations.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Accountant

Location: Yenagoa, Bayelsa
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 

  • We are seeking a dedicated Project Accountant to join our team.
  • The Project Accountant will be responsible for the financial management and reporting of various projects, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent numerical proficiency and the ability to analyze complex financial reports.
  • Prior experience in project management and financial forecasting is crucial for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare project budgets and monitor project costs
  • Track and forecast project financials such as revenue, costs, and margin
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data for each project
  • Review and approve supplier invoices related to a project
  • Prepare monthly billing for projects
  • Monitor project progress, identify variances, and reforecast project costs as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and project contracts
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for management

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Project Accountant or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial principles and practices
  • Experience with accounting software
  • Excellent numerical skills and the ability to analyze complex financial information
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • BSc Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
