Job Description
  • The project aims to improve access to safe water supply and public sanitation services in Port Harcourt and Obio/Apkor and also to establish sound performance and longterm viability of the Port Harcourt Water Corporation to ensure sustainability of services provided.
Education and Experience
  • The Institutional Development/Utility Expert is responsible for coordinating and managing the institutional and capacity building aspects of the project.
  • A Master's Degree in Engineering, Human Resource or Business Management.
  • At least 8 years recent experience in management related activities for urban water services.
  • Previous senior managerial experience working with and/or advising urban water utilities on institutional development aspects in developing countries
  • Experience of projects involving multiple and diverse stakeholders including Governments, private sector, civil society and end users.
  • Experience of institutional and organisational considerations and reforms in general, and in Nigeria in particular
  • Working language: English
