Job Title: Auto Painter

Location: Epe, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

  • The Auto Painter will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and appearance of our armoured vehicles.
  • This individual will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and finishing vehicles to the highest industry standards.
  • Working closely with a team of experts, the Auto Painter will contribute to delivering visually appealing and durable finishes that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sanding, masking, and priming vehicle surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion.
  • Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for imperfections before painting.
  • Mixing and matching paint to required specifications and colour codes.
  • Applying primer, basecoat, and clearcoat using spray guns and other tools.
  • Ensuring even, consistent, and defect-free paint coverage.
  • Polishing and buffing painted surfaces to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Touching up imperfections and performing final inspections.
  • Cleaning and maintaining spray guns, paint booths, and other equipment.
  • Ensuring tools and materials are properly stored and maintained.
  • Following all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Adhering to environmental regulations regarding paint disposal and emissions.
  • Working closely with Panel Beaters, Technicians, and Quality Control teams to meet production deadlines and standards.
  • Providing feedback to improve processes and outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Candidates should possess an SSCE qualification
  • Proven 3 - 5 years experience as an Auto Painter or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency with spray guns, paint mixing systems, and other painting tools.
  • Knowledge of different types of paints, coatings, and application techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Understanding of safety and environmental regulations in automotive painting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
