Job Title: Pastry Chef / Baker

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

• Prepare and bake pastries, desserts, bread, cakes, and other baked goods.
• Follow recipes and create new innovative desserts.
• Monitor baking processes and adjust temperatures and times as necessary.
• Decorate cakes, tarts, and other pastries with precision.
• Use tools like piping bags, molds, and edible decorations.
• Collaborate with chefs to design and update dessert menus.
• Experiment with flavor profiles and presentation techniques.
• Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
• Monitor ingredient quality and freshness.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
• Comply with health and safety standards.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Work closely with other kitchen staff and chefs.
• Train junior pastry cooks or kitchen assistants.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an SSCE qualification with 2 - 4 years relevant work experience.
