Job Overview

• We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Supervisor to join our team in an Agro-processing company.
• As a supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations in the production facility, managing staff, ensuring high product quality, and ensuring that operational targets are met efficiently and safely.
• You will also work closely with the management team to improve production processes and ensure adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities
Staff Supervision:

• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of workers in the production process.
• Ensure that staff are properly trained, scheduled, and working efficiently to meet production targets.

Production Monitoring:

• Oversee daily production activities, ensuring that all processes are running smoothly and that products are produced according to company quality standards.
• Troubleshoot any operational issues that arise during production.

Quality Control:

• Ensure that all products meet the required quality specifications by enforcing strict quality control measures.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Operational Efficiency:

• Monitor the efficiency of production processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to maximize productivity.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.

Health and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the workplace.
• Maintain a safe working environment by promoting safe practices and addressing any safety hazards immediately.

Inventory Management:

• Assist in managing inventory levels, including raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
• Work with the procurement team to ensure the availability of materials without overstocking.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, raw material usage, and staff attendance.
• Prepare reports for management to track performance and highlight areas for improvement.

Team Development:

• Support the continuous development of the production team by identifying training needs and implementing development programs to improve skills and efficiency.

Performance Management:

• Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and coaching to team members.
• Address performance issues and recommend solutions to improve team productivity.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the agro-processing industry or a related field.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• In-depth knowledge of production processes and quality control standards in agro-processing.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle production challenges efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic production management software.
• A degree or diploma in Agriculture, Food Science, or a related field is an advantage.
