Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group operating in the oil and gas industry. The company was incorporated in 1998, starting as a staffing agency based in Port Harcourt. Currently we have offices in 4 countries with our head office in Lagos.

Job Description

• Develop and implement an enterprise risk management (ERM) framework for the organization that is tailored to the oil and gas industry.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize risks, including operational, financial, and environmental risks.
• Plan, execute, and manage internal audits across various departments, including exploration, production, logistics, and finance.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Conduct compliance audits to identify gaps and implement corrective measures.
• Analyze financial reports to detect inconsistencies, irregularities, and potential risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Professional certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, or CRMA would be preferable
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or a similar role, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
• In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting regulations
• Comprehensive understanding of the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in auditing tools, financial systems, and risk management software.
