Job Summary
- Our Client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance & Accounts Officer to manage its financial resources, provide insightful financial advice, and support leadership in making informed organizational decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Policy Development:
- Design financial management strategies, processes, and policies aligned with organizational goals.
- Review and update financial manuals and procedures to ensure relevance.
Financial Systems & Reporting:
- Produce accurate financial reports and ensure compliance with government regulations and standards.
- Maintain records of assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenditures.
- Budget Management & Financial Control:
- Develop and manage annual and multi-year budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational needs.
- Monitor and control expenses through prepayment checks and budget alignment.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Establish and enforce internal controls to prevent errors in financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with statutory financial requirements and accounting standards.
Payroll & Fixed Asset Management:
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and reconciliation with general ledgers.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and coordinate periodic inventories.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
- Implement solutions for effective cash flow management and balance sheet improvement.
- Safeguard assets by ensuring proper procedures for cash disbursements and receipts.
Financial Forecasting & Modeling:
- Develop accurate financial forecasts and models to inform decision-making.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPFA) is required.
- At least 7 years of demonstrable experience in finance and accounting, including 3 years in nonprofit accounting and managerial roles.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in financial forecasting, variance analysis, and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of financial reporting systems and data mining tools (e.g., SQL, Access).
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
