Job Title: Treasury / Bank Reconciliation Officer

Location: Festac, Lagos

Job Responsibilites
Bank Reconciliation:

• Daily/Monthly Reconciliation: Ensuring that the company’s financial records match the bank statements by comparing deposits, withdrawals, and other transactions.
• Identify Discrepancies: Investigating and resolving any differences between the company’s books and the bank’s records.
• Posting Adjustments: Making necessary journal entries to adjust discrepancies in the accounting system.

Cash Management:

• Monitoring Cash Flow: Ensuring that the company maintains adequate liquidity for its operations by tracking daily cash inflows and outflows.
• Managing Bank Accounts: Keeping track of all active bank accounts, ensuring they are correctly set up, and handling the opening/closing of accounts as required.

Fund Transfers:

• Facilitating Transfers: Initiating and overseeing the movement of funds between accounts, including internal transfers or payments to external parties.
• Payment Authorizations: Ensuring that proper authorizations are in place for outgoing payments or fund transfers.

Reporting:

• Daily/Weekly Cash Position Reports: Preparing reports to summarize cash positions, identifying surplus or deficit balances.
• Bank Transaction Reports: Ensuring that all bank transactions are reported and accounted for in the organization’s financial statements.

Handling Bank Charges and Fees:

• Monitoring Fees: Reviewing bank charges, transaction fees, and service costs, ensuring they align with agreed terms and are correctly recorded.
• Disputing Irregular Charges: Investigating and resolving discrepancies regarding unauthorized charges or errors from the bank.

Liquidity Management:

• Managing Surplus Funds: Ensuring excess funds are properly invested or deposited to optimize the company’s financial position.
• Debt and Financing Management: Assisting with managing short-term borrowings or financing requirements to maintain optimal liquidity.

Compliance & Controls:

• Ensuring Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that all treasury and bank reconciliation activities comply with relevant financial regulations and company policies.
• Internal Controls: Maintaining robust internal controls to prevent fraud, errors, and ensure transparency in all banking transactions.

Collaboration with Other Departments:

• Coordinating with Finance and Accounting Teams: Working closely with the finance team to ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately in the books.

Job Qualifications

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s / Master`s Degree / HND in any relevant field with 3-5 years work experience.

Salary
N180,000 - N200,000 monthly.
