An indigenous oil and gas company with substantial interest in a deepwater field is seeking to recruit qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Production Operator (Field Base)

Location:
Lagos

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the control room equipment, production processes and equipment and ensures that the plant is operating within normal parameters.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all subcontractors are monitored for safe working practices and follows the permit to work system,
  • Responsible for carrying out process isolations as described in the safe working practices and procedures and ensuring that all Company guidelines and regulatory requirements and procedures are strictly adhered to.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all platform consumables and stock items such as chemicals are maintained at optimum levels.
  • Plan and prioritizes work in accordance with Lead Operator’s instructions.
  • Ensures that an accurate and comprehensive production log is maintained.
Skills:
  • Must have very good inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft suite.
  • Ability to read P&IDs and schematics will be an added advantage.
  • Successful candidate will undergo a twelve month intensive vocational
  • training and additional twelve months on-the-job training.
Qualifications
  • An Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or a Higher National Diploma (HND) in any of the following Engineering disciplines: I&E, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering.
  • 3-5 years post NYSC relevant experience in the oil and gas industry
