Job Title: Head of Business Unit

Location: Ikota, VGC - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We seek a proactive, organized, and mature Head of Business Unit with Mathematical Knowledge to oversee the smooth operation of functions within the Business Unit.
  • The ideal candidate will possess extensive Managerial experience, strong leadership & entrepreneurial skills, bold, well-read, and the ability to manage a team while providing top-level support to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Business Unit.
  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance profitability and productivity within the business unit
  • Manage office resources, including supplies, equipment, and staff.
  • Supervise and guide the Unit team to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • Develop and implement Departmental policies and procedures.
  • Working closely with other department heads to ensure coordination and cooperation across business units.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitors to identify opportunities and key issues
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Ensure timely and effective communication across departments.
  • Handle Unit budgeting, reporting, and procurement processes.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • First Degree in Business Administration; MSc in Economics or Mathematics.
  • PhD in Economics or Mathematics is an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 6 -10yrs of proven experience in a management role.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant office tools.
  • A mature and professional approach to work, with the ability to manage sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
